Sigh....you are so right...

I also own an SMK-1. Maybe Richard or someone else here knows what that is. I've worked 
all up and down the west coast with it, and into Texas.

I even made an SMK-1 to SMK-1 QSO once. The other SMK-1 was on a ship in the 
Caribbean.

And I have QSOed 35 countries with my AN/GRC-109 mostly on 40 meters.

Not much of a chance to do either one now.
