Ah yes, that makes sense.
I can figure it out from there. The right hand drive, with a local tune crank, increases number with clockwise rotation. So the left side spline connection travels in counterclockwise for the same 
progress.
I'll put a photo of the alignment tool on tomorrow. I'm going to notate the P-257 number in my manual. 

BTW
I have around 120+  of connectors number 80, 233 ( unfortunately  very few of the others );  and many extension control boxes, and antenna relays, and phantom antennas ( dummy loads ). 
At present i found NO extra 80 meter coils. I must have packaged them with the RU's i sold previously. I still have 5 or so receivers to dispose of. I am going to work on getting as much as 
possible of an RUGF set together to sell; also then  individual pieces ( good luck to me, huh ? )
I also have one stray BC-230/430 transmit coil.
