Hello all:
A couple of years ago I purchased ( thanks to this list ) the RBA-RBB-RBC receivers and 2 power supplies. I was living in NW Arkansas at the time. The receivers came from all points in the US. In each case, I called the UPS store closest to the seller and had them pick the unit(s) up, box them and ship them. IIRC, the cost was around $120-$140, including pick-up and packing. Not bad considering a +/- 100lb weight per box. Also, when packed by the UPS store they accept all risk for damage. All the receivers and power supplies arrived in working condition with no physical damage. The sellers didn't lift a finger. The UPS store charged a nominal fee for pick-up and were glad to do it.
I used the Greyhound bus service 40+ years ago for heavy items, such as broadcast audio consoles that were heavy and odd sized.
Thanks, Durff, K4TQF
