[Milsurplus] GDR Receiver EKB aka R-5

G'day allthis description looks like an EKB to me and there is information on that to be found such as here in English http://www.radiomuseum.org/r/funkwe_dab_ekb.html?language_id=2That picture shows the receiver in a gray livery but it also exists in military green. Excellent quality andf technically quite interesting: uses a miniature tube in the receiver input and then subminiature tubes in the rest of the RF and IF parts. Germanium transistors in the audio circuits. 
There is a Czech version (built in the GDR though with German quality) that is green and has a AC power supply (Czech design and manufacture).
I have here a restored GDR/Czech version which works quite well. The IF amplifier sometimes has instability problems when inserted in tha case (and when the vary-u tube is replaced by the fixed variety as was apparently sometimes done in the field). This was solved by installing a small shield (thin PCB) on top of the IF amp. I will put some of the pictures from 2007 on my website shortly and post here when I've done so.
