Ralph - very interesting, and thanks! I'm forwarding your note to the group without the letter due to its graphic size.
( Basically the point of interest is the AR2/ AT1 combination was used for ferry flights of Lancasters and Mosquitos to U.K. )
So the uses for apparently secondary, for training aircraft and ferry flights? At least for the AT1. The receiver, the 24 volt version
anyway, was used with the AT-12 in RCAF Canso ( PBY ) patrol aircraft.
How were the ferry radios returned, do you suppose? By ship or by courier aircraft carrying other cargo or passengers?
( I recall reading that some Europe-U.S.A. flights WW2 carried wounded. )

Hi Hue:

I owned an AR2/AT1 combo at one point - also an AR/6 but I am not sure whether there was an AT2. I'm awaiting further word from a friend at a Military museum to see if he can shed some light.
Another friend sent me a copy of this letter from Syd Sillitoe who designed the AR2/AT1 and also the No 19 set. I believe Syd passed away some years ago but did work at Northern Electric Co. Ltd in Belleville On and was from the U.K.
Cheers.
