Picture from Dayton back in 2011, on the subject Marty Remolds had what he called a "Dixie" portable that he used at Dayton one year that was a RT-70, battery box and antenna all installed in a "Win-Dixie" shopping basket. Though I had a picture of that but can't find it.

Speaking of which,

does anyone have an MT-673/UR they'd like to part with?

I know they are scarce, but thought I'd ask anyway.

A couple of years ago, I made a homebrew "CY-590" and lugged the combo to Dayton to check into the Cold War net. My back still remembers that exercise.

About a year later, I managed to snag a real CY-590.
