So Richard, how much of the AT-12 do you have?
Oddly, the internet shows actually nothing on this transmitter. How quickly history fades into the fog.
I have an AT-12 i bought decades ago and still have not done a thing with. I acquired the receiver to match and thought to operate them together but now i don't know. 
I tend to prefer simpler or more concise projects, like all-in-one-box radio stations.
The AT-12 part i have is the HF unit ( of course ), in the trunk. 
I do like the RCAF colors. Kind of a welcome relief from the U.S. standard black wrinkle.

I think someone added them "just because" it seemed like a good idea.  I have a similar Canadian transmitter, part of the AT-12 equipment, also with two 814 tubes, with NO parasitic suppressors.
