I found a wallet once, was stuffed with hundreds. Found an address that wasn't
far away, walked it over. The guy was super nasty and very threatening and
demanded I stay while he counted the money then told me to get off his
property. I reported him to the police and was told I should never try to
return something like that and instead drop it off at the police station
instead. Would have never believed it if it didn't happen to me.
