Friends, Romans, countrymen: here is a U.S. Navy MAK radio i wish to sell. Some specs are available via Radionerds site:
http://www.radionerds.com/index.php/MAK

A2, A3 25 watts out, 2-4 MHz, 6 or 12 DC power. Has antenna loading coil such that it will work with antenna down to 4 foot
total, in case enemy fire has carried away the upper sections.
As you can see, condition is not too bad. There is no rust on the chrome handles. The nuts retaining the toggle switches and jack
do have some surface rust. The empty hole is the receiver antenna peaking control. A simple var cap of maybe 50 pF with simple
in-panel mounting will replace this. The knob in the lower right is obviously not original. The final i think is an RK69, but you may
be able to find a more common substitute, perhaps with a little socket rewiring. I looked into this briefly years ago, but don't
recall particulars.
This includes a vibrator PS, possibly unused; the shockmount base for PS; and one control box, as shown in the above link. NO
cables. One 11-pin connector. You will have to find others.
At present, I do NOT have a manual. I MAY find a manual this summer, BUT as i most often had to acquire manuals separately,
with work, the manual will NOT be part of the deal. However, if-when i find the manual, i would make a photocopy and provide
it at cost of copies and postage. If you are interested in this radio, you may want to investigate other manual sources. I did not
myself find the manual online.

I have 2 more photos. I haven't prepared them but if anyone is interested, either to buy or just out of curiosity, let me know and
i'll send these in a private email later today or Friday.
Price, $60. Like less than a bag of groceries. BUT caveat emptor, shipping will be a killer. I think you're maybe looking at $60 the
radio, $60 the PS ( a cube about 10" square, and pretty heavy ), and maybe $20 for the control box. I can hand this off from
Corvallis OR north to Seattle area. Or maybe you know someone going south to CA for the MRCA event and can have it carried.
In that case the price is $50 total. A non-shipping purchase gets absolute preference. Considering the level of work required for
me to pack things like this, it is not a moneymaking deal. I am offering this radio before some of the other items i mentioned
because i realized the other day that i know exactly where it all is.
