Possibly, or more probably correct. I went by a fast take on

Which indicates, at least in the 1960s, PHNY was Philadelphia Navy Yard. I can't tell from this article whether  PHNY is only  the article's own brevity acronym.
Is it your take that Pearl is more likely ?
