[Milsurplus] OT: Kidde fire extinguisher recall

That's interesting about the ones carried in vehicles. I'll have to tilt
mine a few times to see whether it seems OK, or is that a good enough
test??.
By the way, the 1A 5BC Halotron extinguisher that I have here in my Radio
Room was over $300 when I bought it several months ago. But I felt that
the >20 year old small Force 9 Halon 5BC that sits next to it was just too
small. But now that I've looked at it I see that it is a Kidde with a
plastic handle... But not part of the recall.
By the way, for many years the actual meaning of the A and BC numerical
ratings was not exactly a secret, but also not widely disseminated by UL.
But now there are videos and power points out there showing what the
numbers mean and some actual testing. Good information, methinks.
