The photo "Radio telephone sets installed near low sea wall on Roi" cuts off the antenna so you cannot see how many sections.
There is only ONE possible guy visible. The efficiency of this TBX setup you would think would be rather low as the sand is fluffy
and up to your ankles - not much of a ground - plus the antenna lead lies on the sand to the base of the antenna. In that respect
I think the BC-654 would be superior, as its antenna connector is more raised off the ground and the antenna mounts to the top
of the radio case. However we are not dealing with a signal path of more than maybe just 5 miles or so at most? This photo and
the Okinawa one are highly "contrasty" so less than ideal. Maybe I'll later scan them and see how they come out.
