The 9002 is a triode, the 9003 is a pentode and predates the 6AK5.

The 9003 was developed around 1940, it is so old it isn't in the TCA (Tube collectors Association) Data Catch.  The 6AK5 was sponsored by Western Electric on 5/27/43
