>Prewar set.  Original manual (I don't have it) was TR 1210-50 dated 07/06/32.  Remained in service at least 10 years as final manual was TM 11-237 dated 03/14/42 (I have one in my collection).  I'm sure that by 1940 it had been relegated to stateside training.
