Pretty interesting doc. I noted that the GP-1 shows up in a couple seaplanes. A friend has one of these sets.

Looking up the ATD, i see it was in the SO3C-1 Seagull.  A wiki page says this,



"SO3C-2C

Lend-lease variant of the SO3C-2 with improved radio and 24V electrical system, for the Royal Navy as the Seamew I, 259 ordered but only about 59 were built."



I wonder what the "improved radio" was. You mostly only can learn such details from random encounters with articles in specialist aviation history magazines or books,

written by people who have access to the vanishingly rare original aircraft manuals.
