[Milsurplus] Identify this IF transformer ?

I found an unused IF transformer. First i thought it was maybe BC-312 or -348 by the size, but it doesn't seem to be so.
The top of the can actually bears this labeling:
1st  IF Transformer
C-283
What radio is this for?
