At the Raleigh hamfest I bought an unknown receiver.
It covers 2-6 Mcs in two bands.
It is very heavy, suggesting frame is steel.
It is an eight tube superhet.
The tubes are 12A6, 12K8 (2), VT131/12SK7 (2), VT209, 12SR7 and 12C8.
All of the component designators are of the 3xx series.
It was procured under Order No. 4930-PHILA-42, suggesting a 1942 contract.
The MFP date is 9-46.
There is no case, bottom plate nor front panel.
The rear connector has been removed.
There is a square Jones plug on the top rear of the chassis.
The dimensions are 12.25" deep x 7.5" high x 7.125" wide.
I can send some pictures if someone wants to see it.
The frequency range suggests possible tank or artillery and the weight
goes along with this.
The front of the radio is simple: there is a band switch (in the middle
of the dial, a tuning know under the dial, a switch (probably on/off) to
the left of the dial, two phone jacks to the left and below the dial, a
volume control to the right and below the dial and an antenna ceramic
standoff to the right and above the dial.

Any ideas as to what this receiver is?
I would like it get it going again, just because I have it.
