[Milsurplus] "Tektronix ARR-15"

It has been years now. I bought or maybe even was given it at a hamfest, probably Rickreall Oregon. Of course i was the only person within hundreds of miles who would
stop to look at this or remark at it. I do have a much hacked ARR-15 i bought from Ken Lakin ( SK ) years back, but just thinking about the work it would take to do this project
made me shrug. The fellow i got the panel from, had worked at Tektronix and explained to me. Some Tek employees got the idea to do this, maybe after reading the ARR-15
hacking articles in “73 Magazine”, and had the Tek fabrication shop make up a bunch of front panels, number unknown. The panels are professionally done, painted, and lettered,
of course. This was an “extracurricular” project. The panel is quite large, i think to match 19 inch rack, and combined with the ARR-15 long narrow package, that would seem to
make a bulky unwieldy overall package, and you’d probably never find a cabinet to fit both dimensions.
I think the number of people who knew about this project, til now, is fewer than one hand count. I think “maybe” i should get the pictured “Tektronix ARR-15” just because i know
something about it, but....we shall see. I also should be downsizing.

>You have a NOS ARR-15 front panel or one from the Tektronix FAB shop? First that I have heard about this, how long ago was this posting?
