The Mid-Atlantic Air Museum in Reading PA comes to mind with their P-61 Black Widow, look at the before pictures in New Guinee and the current pictures and it's hard to imagine it's the same aircraft.

Reminds me of the guys (always guys) who recover aircraft wrecks from lakes and restore them part by part.
