OK. So it's the Contractor's part number. FYI, very seldom have I ever
seen a radio where any of the parts had the Contractor's part numbers on them.
BC-611 and maybe BC-620 & 659 are the only ones that come to mind.
If there was a PL-nn equivalent to the 49040, I've not come across it.
Note that the insert body material is different from the black bakelite
normally used. The same connector is used with the TBW.
I came across the explanation as to why the receiver power cord and plugs
aren't listed. See page 2-0 in NAVSHIPS 900,624. Note that in the cabling
diagram, the P-numbers aren't shown for the receiver cable. And in the text
above, it says that W-401 is supplied with the radio equipment (the TBX-8).
