[Milsurplus] keep Bird 43 or not ??

As i continue to go thru my stuff and see what i can live without, i came across a Bird 43 i inherited some time back
but have never used. It came with only VHF slugs. In my limited on air time i have only used plate current and RF
ammeters. I do also still have a couple Heathkit SWR meters, the old grey box things.
What i'm wondering, is there a reason i should keep the Bird? I'm currently totally off-air and will be for a couple
years yet, unless i decide to play portable. If i'm convinced that i should keep the Bird 43, i'll have to start
shopping for HF slugs in power levels under 100 watt, and i see there's competition for those. The 200-500 MHz
slugs i have seem to go for $25-35, 50D and 100D.
In the plus argument side, i paid $0 for the Bird 43 and these slugs.
thanks for your input.
