Thanks, Tom! I don't think i would have found this. Kind of surprises me it exists. The images of the page with photo and description, in gothic-type
font, are from some German old, old book. That would be interesting to have a look thru!
It kind of surprises me that old radios, especially non-home radios, survived somehow in Russia. I would think that in the late 1930s, and i'm thinking
specifically of "The Terror of 1937", that it would be a BAD idea to have any non-entertainment type radio in one's possession. And then during the
war years, so much of European Russia was laid to waste by the invaders. Then post-war, even if radios were slowly being surplussed, with most
all Russians living in apartments, or sharing apartments, where would you keep the stuff? Maybe it survived by being communally owned, kept at
ham radio clubs.
This makes me think of the situation in China. I was told by a China traveler that Chinese generally disrespect "old stuff", i think i mean recent-old,
not antique or classic. They consider it downscale, junky, undesirable. I don't know if this is a cultural predilection or if it's like the Russia situation of
old, just more so.

Hi Hue,
I found a better match called a PD4. Have a look at this one:

Also here http://www.rw6ase.narod.ru/00/rp_bl/pd4.html
Text says "Radio "PD-4" from the middle of 1936 has released a hardware factory of Leningrad. Kazitskogo. Radio "PD-4" is designed for the reception of radio stations working telephone and telegraph in the range from 200 to 20,000 meters (1500 ... 15 kHz). The whole range is covered by waves connecting interchangeable coils. Receiver is assembled on four battery radio tubes. More information about radio receiver "PD-4" and tehnicheski parameters in the statement.
Operating Instructions and the radio circuitry "PD-4"."
