[Milsurplus] R-32 receiver

It IS possible. Years back, in the mid-1980s, when i was in the foolish "Buy more, more!" mode, i was sent some

photos from a fellow with a bunch of these modified receivers, at least 6-7 of them. I believe he had executed the

mod only on the VHF receivers - because i think i would have bought a beacon band or BC band receiver so modified.

I am thinking now he used the original control box dial, but - maybe not, i don't recall, and i returned the photos.

They WERE very neatly done, looked good; i just wasn't into VHF at all. Around that time, another fellow told me how

exactly it was done, but i apparently didn't value that info so much that i recorded it.

I DO have one VHF control box, no receiver, but - don't know where it is right now. I think i have a couple of some

other ARC-12 item, probably an antenna relay.

My friend Greg had a pretty nice ARC-12 test setup in a trunk, which included - i think - a VHF receiver and control

box and some other items. Unfortunately his house burned and it all became scrap metal, including the extremely

nice URR-27 receiver i gave him.
