W3LP, the East Penn Amateur Radio Club will be operating
from the field this Saturday as part of their annual
"Operation Able Archer 83" with the special call W3A for the
day of the event. For no particular good reason other than
because I can I have decided that I will go out into the
field and operate as an ad hoc field Cemetery Net ECCCS
station running the M151 with the VRC-43, GRC-106 and maybe
a couple other radios thrown in too. For this event I will
be dragging everything out to a remote location on top a
mountain in Port Clinton and attempting to establish a VHF
"push" on 51.0 along with a HF link back to the W3A base in
Pottstown, a distance of around thirty five miles from where
I will be located. Also intend to participate in the M&S
Net at twelve hundred hours local and want to try to get
some calls in on the 20, 18, 15 and 10 meters bands. I will
have a good antenna set up for 60 meters and a radio set to
5357 USB as a calling channel but only anticipate using t
he seventeen foot whip on the mutt for the rest of the
operation. I will also have the low band log periodic set up
for 51.0 and at an elevation of around one thousand feet
this may be an opportunity to try to do a longer path with
 51.0?

SOMEONE here must have the complete Mackay 128** manual.
 There were thousands of
those receivers used in ships, and some were still in use up
 into the 1990s.

Some time ago, I found a very poorly scanned copy of the
 Coast Guard manual for the
128AY, the RC-123, which was missing two critical pages, one
 from the schematic and one
 from the wiring diagram.

I managed to eventually find the missing page from the
 schematic, and incorporated that
into the copy I had, but was never able to find the missing
 page from the wiring diagram.

I have forgotten where I originally found the Coast Guard
manual, but I spent many hours in
Adobe Photo Editor straightening the pages, cleaning them
up, assembling them the best I
could, making a PDF out of them, and posting them to my
 website here:

 http://www.w7ekb.com/glowbugs/Military/mackay.htm

Apparently that effort is now scattered across the internet
with (of course) no mention of
where it came from, but I don't care about that. I put it up
 there for people to have.

If ANYONE here has a complete manual for the Mackay 128
 series receiver(s), I (and many
others) would be most grateful if you could either send me
the manual so I can copy it and
return it at my cost, or send me a properly scanned copy of
it so I can eventually post that to
 my website.

 Anyone?

 Please?

I know that there is at least one person who frequents this
 forum who has the needed
manual, but despite my attempts to contact him repeatedly
over the years about it, he has
not so much as deigned to answer my requests.

 Hello all,
i have an APN-1 for demonstration purposes at club meetings

and events. I use one of it's test sets, the TS-16, to
demonstrate how it works. However, my TS-16 has failed me
and I have no information to help check it out.
Does anyone have a copy of at least the schematic, but
better still, a manual, please?. I have the manuals for the

APN-1 but not for any of it's test gear.
 Cheers
 Dave
