I have a copy of the 44 page instruction book for AN/MRC-35A. Although it
does not show what type switch is used, how it was marked, nor where it is
mounted, it does show the schematic of the only modification, which is the
NET-SEND switch. The normal BC-348 has B+ run to pin 2 and some of the
amplifier screen grids run to pin 6 of the SO-103. The lead to pin 6 is
disconnect and run to one of the switch terminals. The other switch terminal is run
to pin 2 (B+), and the switch common is connected to the wire removed from
SO-103 Pin 6 (screen grids). Otherwise, the BC-348 is connected to the
T-47/ART-13 as for AN/ARC-8.
The manual also does not say how the receiver is marked to indicate the
modification. FWIW, the BC-348's modified for use with AN/MRC-20 have a new
nameplate. The modification there is much more extensive, being the addition
of a squelch and noise-limiter circuit to all use of the system as a VHF or
UHF to HF repeater.
