[Milsurplus] [Boatanchors] RAL, RBA, RBC Manuals and info needed

If I remember correctly, I have manuals for all three. I could have
Kinco's repro them, but there are plenty of pages ($$).

I think a UHF "barrel", or female to female connector will plug into
the antenna connector, and a banana plug will go into the other end
of the barrel so you can use a random length wire for an antenna.

There are some "gotcha" when servicing the RF coil boxes

Electrical connections are made with metal strips, connected with
machine screws to threaded openings on short ceramic standoffs. After
removing and opening things, you will end up with machine screws of
slightly different lengths. Be sure to use the shorter screws for
the ceramic standoffs. The longer ones will bottom, and when you
tighten further to secure a strip, the ceramic breaks.

The coils have adjustable slugs with slots machined in threaded brass
rods. Be very careful to not bottom them. The slugs will jam, and
one side of the slot will break off when you attempt to move them in
the other direction. It's easier than you might think to end up with
a parts radio.

There's also a tongue in cheek gotcha Work on them while you are
young. As you get older, you will have issues when moving them.

I could never adjust the antenna box to remain in resonance across an
entire band when using a random wire. As you tune, you keep moving
the antenna tuner in one direction until you are at the end of
travel. However, the radio still worked pretty well.
