Interesting. I had hoped to see the R-584 / R-589 versions of the BC-348. 

Also, i wished the manual had shown where the netting switch was installed on the BC-348. Has anyone ever seen such a modded receiver?

I noticed an oops on page 4-3.  ¼ wave on 300 kHz is not 78 ft. Some proofreader should have noted the omitting of a zero.
