Are they the relatively rare "twinax" like the 390 uses, or the absurdly
common in every configuration known to mankind "twinax" that was used in
computer networking for decades?

The R-390 model looks like a PL-259 UHF connector with two thick pins, the
computer network version has two very small pins, but different and more
unique to it is a "key" so it can only be connected one way. Looking at the
connector, you'll see a key in the male and a slot in the female for
polarization.

I've only ever seen one R-390 type twinax male, which I have, I have a few
hundred pounds of the computer networking twinax connectors in many, many
configurations in storage somewhere, used to use them for powering 12 Volt
equipment in the field.
