How come my barn finds look like something a horse left behind?
But seriously, that is a cool story.

Excellent! A cool set that sounds pretty nice, even through a dinky lap top speaker.

It's really great seeing another old piece of gear come back to life. IMO, this is what will save many from the scrapper - when you can actually see and hear it function. This transforms it from heavy-scrap-whatever to working-old-something-worth-keeping/selling. Something even future generations with no knowledge of radio can understand.

I've been reviving a bunch of early 20s TRF receivers over the last couple years. Always a thrill to hear something come out the other end. Your video gives me that same 'magic of radio' 'feeling.

Good work, Dave.

While waiting to acquire a TCS-12 dynamotor supply so I can finish that project, I decided to do a little preliminary
work on a WWII 1945 Hallicrafters BC-669 that's been waiting its turn for about, oh, 15 years or so. Besides, a very kind and generous local ham has one he wants to give me so I decided I'd "practice" getting one revived.  You know- get to know where
all the parts are and stuff.
I had a three-day weekend and I figured a little head start.   Well... one thing lead to another and...
I guess I don't know when to quit.
Really helps when you have the original Spare Parts
box handy.  Still working on the transmitter but will
likely have it ready for the Texoma Trader's Net by next weekend.
