[Milsurplus] puzzler - module with glass rod?

Hi

You really need to see what’s under the bottom of the rod. Since there are no electrodes
in sight, that rules out a normal quartz resonator. The shape and size are a bit odd for a low 
frequency resonator (it would be *very* low). That moves it over into the delay line 
category. Bounce a signal off the “open” end and you have a delay. You could make
a resonator the same way, but it would be very unusual.
