Not really, I think someone took an empty scrap case and made a different
front panel for it. Empty cases and covers (often damaged) were not hard to
find and could be used for projects like this by vehicle collectors who have
no interest in ham radio. The covers often are cracked, and the cases
usually have internal structure damage and/or threaded bushings torn loose
or broken out.
