I love my RBA/RBB/RBC triplets. The RBA gets less use, but it hears the LF beacons and some 600 m experimental station activity. There is nothing that my only modern transceiver hears on the 75/80 and 40m bandsm that the RBC doesn't hear, and in most cases hears better. I don't find any reason whatsoever to mess with them and add a product detector or digital frequency counter. I don't use these receivers for SSB, and don't use them to measure frequency. The dial resolution is good enough to find a station and zero-beat with it with the transmitter either on AM or CW.
