[Milsurplus] Hermes Crossed Loop Ant info please

I acquired a Hermes of Canada model  18-C- 50 crossed loop antenna. It formed like a round ball and is about 4 ft in dimeter.

Its painted OD so presuming it was not used aboard ship. I can't seem to find any info on it. I would think it would work in the 300kc - 1500kc range.

As always any help is very appreciated.
