It's whatever brand you can find.  A thicker grade of synthetic grease 
is easy to get here in Syracuse at an auto supply, but thinner lighter 
ones usually will have to be found at a petroleum products supplier or 
ordered on the internet.  The main virtue for using synthetic lubes on 
radio equipment is  longevity and resistance to turning to gooey crud 
and varnish.  Extreme temperature and pressure are rarely if ever a 
consideration,  so the choices that will work are wide and varied.
