[Milsurplus] GRC-26D Ft Gordon post card

My father was attending teletype school there 1960. I recall attending an Armed Forces Day open-house at Ft. Gordon with him. A  G.I. put a 

PRC-34 helmet radio on my head. I hadn’t asked  to try it on, and as the radio was non-operative, i was unimpressed, didn’t see any big deal

in a helmet. A real Buck Rogers helmet would have been some more flashy color.
