[Milsurplus] Navy recorder/reproducer IC/VRT-4

Nick we have one of these in SMECC Mil - Com  display.  seems to  be  a 
tapes recorder  on a wire band?
We  would like to know more  too.....  keep us  posted  if  you hear  
something or get manual on it...    curious  little thing indeed ... I am  trying 
to remember if ours is  just a desk or  has the speaker etc on the other  
side...    it  has been 13 years since I have seen the other side of it in 
the display  case!
