I am somewhat familiar with those devices, they are small to light a small bulb. Used by artillery with a balloon at night to monitor winds aloft.

Wayne –

Since it is water activated, could it be for a Sonobouy? 73 – Mike

This is a weird water-activated battery. Appeared at the museum in a box of miscellaneous wire & stuff we thought might be useful. Don't think this will be useful to us. Apparently used in weather balloons. Is anyone interested in one? 1967 date of manufacture. Box is in so-so condition.
