Was looking at "Marines At War", 1943, Crane, a hardback collection of
war art.
Saw on page 45 a charcoal-like drawing "Field Report", which shows a
Marine using what can only be an MAB type.
The mic/ headphone cord is the Y-yoke type; the radio is on his back,
but the characteristic antenna load coil is there.
So- that makes 4 WW2 era images of the MAB i have seen - not counting
the manual, of course.
1 in RADIO NEWS of soldiers being interviewed by reporter for an AFRS
broadcast station on an island
1 photo which i have, of a civilian reporter in USA using the MAB for
same purpose
1 photo on French website, of Tarawa invasion
and this war art book.
