And then we have the curious MAK and MO-1 radios.  Navy, four channel, xtal controlled transmitter and receiver in the same box., AM, 25 watts out.
Remote control box with exactly the same circuit as the TCS unit except no speaker included.  Receiver circuit similar to the TCS.  Some sort 
of an interim production maybe? Uncommon so probably not produced for very long or in significant numbers.  Also includes a serious design flaw 
but that would properly be the subject of a separate discussion.
