I have mentioned this before, but might be worthwhile if you find 
yourself considering buying a TCS receiver.
>From reading the manuals i learned that the TCS-5 was built with wider 
selectivity for use in land vehicles.
There may be other versions.
In military use, more selective not always = better. Some of the 
contracts, for example TRC-10, MBM, specified
selectivity "not better than" a certain number.

Years ago i used a TCS with a Heathkit Q-mult for CW. It worked but 
didn't sound that great.
