Today, I pulled the AN/USM-3A test set I have here out of storage and
began to look it over.

Boy! What a cute little job! :-)

Anyway, I wanted to check to see if there is a battery still in the SG-23A, but
cannot figure out how to get it open.

The manual has no details on servicing this unit, but maybe I can find a
service manual somewhere. I'll look in the usual places on the web.

>From pushing the large button on the end of the SG-23A, I get the
impression that there is no battery in there, but I would like to check. That
large button moves easily, both in rotation and pushing it in and out.

Also, most of the hand-tools are missing, although it looks as though ALL of
the "instruments" and probes are still there and are in good condition. as is
the operating manual and a list of tubes for the TV-4.

Lastly, might there be any other of the instruments which need a battery?

Can anyone help with this?
