It might depend on the setup.  When we lost power once it was in the mid 
twenties and I ran my generator just fine from a grill tank.  I also used to 
grill through the winter and it got to below zero (F) many times.  The regulator 
froze up a few times and required bringing it inside to heat with a hairdryer.  
Of course a big generator will pull much more gas and chill the tank more 
aggressively.
