  Yeah, i think i saw that before. The internet does have some bum 
steers.
I guessed they actually meant "SCR-508", but i'll leave it to others for 
the correct number.

Funny thing: when I put SCR-583 into Google to see what came up, what
came up was a link to some sort of radio combination which included a
BC-608 receiver. Wikipedia returns an SCR-508, which, from what I can 
see,
doesn't look anything like the .JPG that Jack sent.

I dunno what's going on with that.
