Right, probably the surviving 3801 complete sets could be counted on one 
hand with fingers left over.
I bought one around, maybe, early 1980s and soon enough discovered what 
i had was only the front
end of the system. I finally disassembled the thing. I think probably 
the after half remained in the basement
where the sold items were mined from, but it all went thru an 
intermediary to us buyers. Years later,
after all the MN-26 control boxes were sold off, and i got to see the 
basement for limited times, i found
crates of new MN-26 receivers. I remember many other desirable things - 
but i was only invited for
strictly limited visits.
