[Milsurplus] H.M. attempts to stump the pro's

Bob posted a picture I sent him of my unit, and
I feel the need to explain something.

My unit is missing most of its covers, and dynamotor
end bells. Have to be careful not to get fingers
to close to the spinning fan on the dynamotor shaft.

The plate with mounted power resistor is my add on
to make it work.

This resistor is the dropping resistor that slows the
dynamotor in receive, and is shorted in transmit.

In a stock unit, this resistor is mounted in one the
dynamotor end bells, and is cooled by the fan on
the dynamotor shaft. My end bells are missing, hence
the add-on.

If one takes a glance at a complete unit, it will like
a lot like the MP-28 unit for the TA-12, which also is
in demand by a few folks.
