Where did all the AN/FRC-1 control tower station consoles go?
1.5 - 12 MHz; one console with tunable receiver. Surplused new after the
war. The receiver, MRR-150, could be extracted from the console as
independent unit. You'd think at least a few of those survived.
I have never seen one outside of a magazine ad.

Bendix 3801 Aircraft Receiver-Transmitter: Bendix ad in 'Electronics',
March 1945 identifies it as an 'Altair LY-1'.
What's this about? Did Bendix buy this firm, Altair? Or was Bendix
trying out a subsidiary marketing to small-plane,
mostly civilian market?

Just wondering!
