Perhaps the National FRR-59 / WRR-2? Block diagram shows that a 5654 (V-401) is the only tube used in that module.

Subject: [Milsurplus] interpolator oscillator Southern California Mfg, Co.
I have an interpolator oscillator module NC 37804G1.
This is NSN 5820-00-947-6617.
I can find nothing on this module.
Does anyone know what it was used in?
The module is 5"x2.75"x2.5" and the box is silver plated.
It has one tube, a 5654 and aging controls C4, L1 and C6.
It bolts down with 4 captive 6-32 screws and has a silver plated strap
that screws onto something, probably a variable capacitor.
