[Milsurplus] U.S. Navy test set OH ?

I met a fellow at the hamfest who showed me a test set accessory box he has.

It's for a Navy type OH  CAG-10046, by General Radio. The box has
cylindrical plug-in

coils ( no inductance marked ) and rectangular plug-in capacitors. S/N #9.
So i ask,

OH say can you see, what this equipment was ? 
I can forward his email with several photos.
