Al, THANY YOU so much. One of the most interesting things i have seen, ever.
 
I noted with interest the SCR-284, 300, and 694 test models.
Also that the SCR-284 is the RCA export model, with the receiver and transmitter separate sections. Also – the generator filter is not shown,
and the key base is different from the actual Army production model.
 
Of the SCR-583, the Philco one is the model they went with – BUT the production one is different from the one shown. The production model
has a different speaker grill – louvre style – and the antenna switch shown is replaced with 2 different switches.
 
Wonderful photos. Makes you hope that a few of the rare sets survived and will still show up.
