I know, if it isn't broken do not fix it, however I have a few suggestions
you may want to consider. First, on the input side of the filter. I would
suggest here an RF bypass from the cold end to ground. I would also like to
see a coupling cap between the hot side and the input so the HV does not go
through the filter itself. 0.01s would be fine here for both places. On the
output side, I assume the 1K in the cathode is to provide some bias to the
tube. Unfortunately the coil in the filter essentially shorts the grid to
ground, so, you may encounter distortion with high level signals. Here I
would suggest a 100K from the cold end of the filter to ground with a 0.01
across it for RF purposes. 73 - Mike
